Two new Brandon Lake MultiTracks

We have released two new MultiTracks from worship leader and singer songwriter Brandon Lake: Praise You Anywhere and Tear Off the Roof.

Fun and up tempo, the hit single Praise You Anywhere reminds us to praise Him through the hardest times. This arrangement follows the original recording’s arrangement, but is in a lower key.

Tear Off the Roof adapts into music the stories of the paralyzed man who was lowered through a hole in the roof to see Jesus, and the woman who touched his cloak. This slightly shortened and dropped key version is congregationally friendly, and lends itself well to praise bands of various sizes.

Listen to the audio samples below.

Four new MultiTracks

We have four new MultiTracks available.

Four new backing track releases in MultiTrack format all recorded in singable, congregational keys.

The songs are:

  • A Thousand Hallelujahs – Brooke Ligertwood, Phil Wickham
This was written by two of the most famous worship leaders and songwriters in the Christian Music Industry.  It is a great congregationally friendly song and a perfect example of what Brooke Ligertwood is known for from her work with Hillsong.
  • In Jesus Name (God of Possible) – Katy Nichole, Jeff Pardo, Ethan Hulse, David Spencer
Katy Nicole was introduced to the listening world of Contemporary Christian music with this power ballad.  Its message of hope and personal lyrics make it a great choice for special music or thematic services. Based on the original recording, this arrangement is only a half step lower to place it in an easier key for instrumentalists.
  • This is Our God – Phil Wickham, Steven Furtick, Brandon Lake, Pat Barrett
This song is one of Phil Wickham’s newest releases and joins the vast library of praise and worship songs by this artist.  Plus it’s co-written with Brandon Lake. This up tempo arrangement matches the original format, but is in a lower, more congregationally friendly key.
  • Now Here – Jake Espy, Tyler Roberts
Red Rocks Worship is a new worship team on the CCM Charts, and “Now Here” is the song that got them there.  Set in a swing 6/8 meter, this great sing-along praise tune is super catchy – plus it has a strong message about the power of God’s presence.

6 New MultiTracks and Split Tracks

We have six new MultiTracks and Split Tracks available.

6 new backing track releases in both MultiTrack and Split Track format all recorded in singable, congregational keys.

  • There’s Nothing That Our God Can’t Do – Passion – Brandon Lake, Jonathan Smith, Kristian Stanfill

  • Run to the Father – Cody Carnes, Matt Maher, Ran Jackson
The lyrics to “Run to the Father” celebrate God’s grace and identity as both healer and friend. The triple meter of this song gives it a natural “sway” for those times of reflection in your worship services.
  • Your Love Defends Me – Hannah Kerr, Matt Maher
Co-written by Hannah Kerr and Matt Maher, and recorded by both artists, this version of “Your Love Defends Me” is based on the Hannah Kerr recording providing an opportunity to highlight the female voices in your praise team.
  • God Turn it Around – Anthony Skinner, Jon Reddick, Jess Cates
Jon Reddick is fast becoming one of the most well-known worship leaders and writers of contemporary Gospel music. “God Turn it Around” is a powerful prayer shared in ballad form asking for God’s intervention.
  • Always – Chris Tomlin, Ben Glover, Daniel Carson, Jeff Sojka, Jess Cates
“Always” is the title track to the new Chris Tomlin album. This 6/8 meter arrangement follows the original, but is in a lower, more congregationally friendly key.
  • Strongholds – Chris Tomlin
“Strongholds” is an upbeat praise song from Chris Tomlin, co-written with Ed Cash from We the Kingdom. The catchy melody works well with the positive message of Isaiah 54:17 and 2 Corinthians 10:4.

Hymns MultiTrack and Split Track backing tracks

Hymns Hymns Hymns Hymns

The struggle we face when we create new backing tracks is often that those new songs are simply not known by the majority of churches, especially the smaller churches that tend to be Worship Backing Band’s main customer base. This means that it can take months or even years before sales really start to come through as the songs become more widely known.

That’s all very different with hymns where we take a well known public domain hymn and record it in a contemporary band style. The traditional hymn is still very recognisable but rather than the organ accompaniment and 4-part SATB harmony, we provide a contemporary band for the music, with some orchestral accompaniment in some songs and give them all more of a modern sound.

Our producer Shawn Thomas has done a great job with our latest releases which include a nice little twist on Come Thou Long Expected Jesus with the melody of Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing in the last verse.

These are in both MultiTrack and Split Track format and each comes with a FREE simple chord chart:

Blessed Assurance
An uplifting arrangement of this timelessly classic hymn using a 12/8 time signature to keep the triple feel of the rhythm, but adding a 4/4 feel to the phrasing. Your congregation will be swaying along!

Come Thou Long Expected Jesus
A unique arrangement of this triple-meter hymn starting out with the traditional melody, and then incorporating the melody of “Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing” for the last verse. A contemporary arrangement with an orchestral feel.

I Have Decided to Follow Jesus
Your congregation will enjoy the worshipful start to this spiritual gospel tune as it builds each verse into a rhythmic celebration. Start out praying and end up clapping!

I’ll Fly Away
Enjoy this southern gospel staple with a dramatic half-time first verse that leads into the hand-clapping, foot-tapping tempo of the remainder of the song.

We’d really encourage our customers from outside the US to check this hymn out if it is new to you. Very popular in the States.

Immortal Invisible God Only Wise
Your congregation will enjoy this contemporary yet orchestral arrangement of this traditional hymn, and your praise band will enjoy the simplified chord progressions!

New backing track: God So Loved (We The Kingdom)

New release: acoustic arrangement of We The Kingdom’s God So Loved

God So Loved is a great up-tempo, toe-tapping praise song from the group ‘We The Kingdom’ known for their hit ‘Holy Water’.

When we heard their fantastic live/acoustic arrangement we knew this was a track we needed to get into our repertoire quickly. The song is hugely popular at the moment featuring high in the CCLI charts for use in church.

Listen to our audio sample of the song below.

We have emulated We The Kingdom’s own acoustic feel in our Worship Backing Band arrangement in order to leave lots of room for vocal harmonies. Of course if that’s something you struggle with in your church then you can leave our vocal and backing vocal stems in the mix. Worship Backing Band are the only mainstream backing track provider to include vocals – something we know is essential for many small churches with missing musicians.

God So Loved is available in MultiTrack and Split Track formats.
